I have mentioned before that I taught in China this last summer. I don’t know that I could ever tell all the stories of my trip, but here is one.
One of the things we were asked to do as teachers was to prepare an hour long lecture to present one night about anything we wanted (preferably cultural). I struggled the entire time to come up with one idea let alone three. We had to submit three possible topics, and then they would choose one to ensure there was no overlap in topics.
My topic was American Line Dances, and it was the best decision I could have ever made.
I showed them clips of various line dances and taught them several dances. We learned the cupid shuffle, the electric slide, the wobble and the cha cha slide.
The students seemed to really enjoy it, and I had a blast too!
I would absolutely go back and teach them again!
I wish I had more clips of the students doing these dances, but hope you enjoy this little snippet of my month in China.
